Initial Telephone Conversation
If you're not sure where to start, I will be very happy to talk through your concerns over the telephone, to give general advice and to discuss with you whether further assessment or therapy would be worth considering for your child. Sometimes I may need to point you in the direction of someone who would be better suited to help.
£130 (£195 with full written report)
Prior to the assessment, I will ask you to complete a pre-assessment questionnaire
I use formal, standardised assessments as well as play based informal assessment and observation.
Discussion with you and often your child's teacher is also extremely valuable to form a complete picture of your child's communication skills and needs.
I keep in mind your child's age and ability when choosing the assessments to use.
All assessments will include verbal feedback and discussion regarding the next steps as well as a written summary
If you would like one, I will also write a full detailed report outlining the assessment results and recommendations which you will be able to share as you wish.
There is no obligation to take up further therapy following this assessment.
£65 per session
We would agree the number and frequency of sessions prior to starting the period of intervention.
I will put together a written goals sheet setting out what your child is able to do and what we are working towards.
Sessions will be delivered in your home or school.
Therapy will involve fun activities with engaging games and resources.
In order for therapy to be successful, your child will need opportunities to practise between sessions. I will therefore share resources and activities with you and your child's teacher after each session.
